Welcome to Kuching, Sarawak, a city that truly surprised us! In this first Borneo vlog we explore Kuching’s charming old town, walk along the beautiful waterfront, wander through temples and Chinatown, and try our very first bowl of Sarawak Laksa… and yes, it’s addictive. Kuching was also our base to explore one of Malaysia’s best wildlife destinations: Bako National Park. Known for its mangroves, jungle trails, coastal cliffs and rare wildlife, Bako is the best place in Sarawak to spot the famous proboscis monkeys. We hiked multiple trails, stayed overnight inside the park, joined the sunset and sunrise walks, and even did a night walk to look for snakes, insects and nocturnal animals.
