Dallas: Alan turns against J.R./Cliff turns down a job.

Season 3 Episode 20: Second Thoughts J.R. scolds Alan for taking Jock’s offer for a legal partnership in Dallas when Alan was supposed to marry Lucy and move to Chicago. Now J.R. threatens to stop the marriage because there's no longer anything in it for him. However, Alan intends to marry Lucy, confident that J.R won’t be able to break him. Cliff finds it suspicious that Mr. Mitchell offers him a legal assistant’s job and when Mitchell admits that it’s a favor to Bobby, Cliff tells Mitchell to stuff his job since he refuses to take a handout from a Ewing.
