We Found Rare Rocks at This Hidden Lake Superior Beach!

Today we headed out hoping to rock hunt near the mouth of the Blind Sucker River, a spot that's well known among Lake Superior rockhounds. Unfortunately, construction changed our plans—but that turned out to be the best thing that could have happened. We stumbled onto an incredible new beach near Perry's Landing, and within minutes we knew we had found something special. We started finding rocks we don't normally see on Lake Superior beaches, including Charlevoix stones, lightning stones, banded rocks, quartz, and several other unusual finds. The location was so good that we immediately added it to Rock Nerd so other collectors can discover it too. 🧠 Fun Fact: Lake Superior's shoreline is constantly changing. Storms, wave action, and seasonal water levels uncover new material every year, meaning a beach that looked picked over one season can produce incredible finds the next. 🪨 Find amazing rock hunting locations with Rock Nerd! ✔ 2,300+ curated rock hunting locations ✔ Guided rock identification ✔ Save your collection in the Rock Vault ✔ Join the community ✔ Earn money by referring Premium users 📲 Download Rock Nerd www.RockNerd.app 🌀 Track every tumbling batch with Tumbler Buddy Never forget another grit stage.
