Beaded Garden Stakes Materials 14” length of 16 gauge wire 10-16 assorted beads, preferably glass Tools Wire Cutters Needle-nose Pliers Round-nose Pliers Nylon Jaw Pliers (optional) Arrange your beads in a pleasing pattern. Using your round-nose pliers, create a curl at one end of your wire. String your beads. At the base of the last bead, use your round nose pliers to create a loop at the base of the beads to hold them in place. Plant your stake in your garden! Tall Garden Stake Materials Wire coat hanger, untwisted and flattened out 3’ of bead stringing wire or 24 gauge wire Many, many assorted beads, preferably glass Non-water soluble glue and tape Tools Wire cutters Tie a small knot in the end of the wire, leaving about a 3” tail, and do not pull the knot tightly. Leave it open, like a tiny pretzel. String your beads randomly until you have strung about 2.5’ of the wire. Tie another loose knot at that end of the wire. Take you coat hanger and create a loose curl at one end. Slide one of the knots on the coat hanger and wrap the string of beads around the coat hanger. Slide the other knot onto the coat hanger. Twist the string to make the string tighter. When you have the bead string where you want it, tape the tails in place to hold them, glue in place and let dry. When dry, cut of the tails and plant in your garden. Other Resources Some are more bead related, some more garden art related.
