Sapelo Live: Million Man March--25 Years Later
On October 16, 1995, over a million Black men and women gathered on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., for a “Day of Atonement, Reconciliation, and Responsibility.” The #MillionManMarch was the single largest gathering of Black people to take place in the twentieth century; and Black Muslims were central to the March’s leadership and organization. This Friday, October 16, 2020, at 8pm ET, Sapelo Square History Editor Zaheer Ali, who was a part of the MMM National Staff, will join Senior Editor Sr. Su'ad Abdul Khabeer for a #SapeloLive conversation about the March’s history and legacy.
