This show was Elvis' first of 1976 and in being a very good show did not reveal any hints as to the malaise that would engulf his shows in the late Spring and Summer of the year, which saw Elvis give some of the poorest concerts of his career thus far. The show saw the introduction of a new song, Hurt, which would become a staple of his set list until his final tour and a fan favourite. The song had just been recorded the previous month at Graceland and had just been released as a single exactly a week earlier.
