I am honoured to be working with Lenita and very happy she contributed to the „Club”. For a lady well over 70, she is super-easy to have on a tour and a joy to work with, a LOT of young artists should learn from her how to run a tour as an artist! She gave her broadcasting-debut in 1964, winning her first song-festival in 1967 followed by several world tours. In 1972 she premiered as an actress with some leading roles in various films. From the mid 70s she began to sing Fado and became one of the key-figures of the genre! She just released a new CD some months ago, simply called „Lenita”, one of the best examples of Fado released in the last years!
