You'll see it's easier than it seems. We'll start our class with a review of mixed numbers and proper fractions. Then we'll cover three exercises. In the first exercise, we'll cover the steps to subtract mixed numbers with unlike denominators. We'll start by subtracting the integers, then the fractions, and conclude by adding the difference of the fractions to the difference of the integers. In the second exercise, we will need to simplify the difference of the fractions. In the third exercise, we will use a different method, since the fraction of the second mixed number is greater than the fraction of the first mixed number.
