Road Trip to Vegas for Thanksgiving / Bone Shaker (Cowboy Trails) 11/25/24

Every year I normally take some of my staff to Vegas for Christmas but this year we decided to do it on Thanksgiving. We met up with Jeff who's a local and he took me and Kasey around Cowboy Trails. The original plan was to warm up on Bon Voyage and then hit Bone Shaker but it was sprinkling and when we got to the top the forecast said it was 90% rain at 11am so we decided to just hit Bone Shaker because we didn't want to ride in the freezing rain. This was my 2nd time on the trail and it was just as fun as I remembered it last time. Unfortunately half way down I slashed my rear tire but luckily my Tannus Armour saved my rims. Jeff was able to put a bacon strip in it and we finished the ride. This is a must ride trail if you go to Vegas. I hate climbing but honestly it is my all time favorite climb. It's 4 miles long but it's not boring at all there are a bunch of technical sections and the whole climb is so scenic. Once you get to the top and drop down Bone Shaker it's fun top to bottom. It's a fast flow trail that becomes chunky and towards the end it becomes more technical. It has everything and highly recommend everyone to check it out.
