GR131 Gran Canaria Solo Hike & Wild Camp: Pre-Hike Intro & Gear

In this video I give a brief intro to my solo hike and wild camp of the GR131 across Gran Canaria, and go through the gear I used. I flew direct from Manchester to Gran Canaria with Ryanair. From outside the Airport I took bus number 60 to my Hotel for the night (Santa Ana Suites & Rooms) on the outskirts of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. I stopped in at a local Spar shop to stock up on 3.5 litres of water, and some food for the trail. The next morning I took bus number 103 from stand 6 (underground) at the San Telmo Bus Station, to the centre of Agaete near Puerto de las Nieves where I would start my hike of the GR131. Buses run frequently on Gran Canaria and offer good coverage with cheap prices. However, they often run late and can be very crowded. The 103 bus I took was full by the time it got to it's second stop, and the journey took almost an hour longer than Google maps suggested, so bear this in mind if planning ahead.
