Engelbert Dollfuß | Austrian State Edit 🇦🇹

After a prolonged and successful stint in the Austrian government as agrarian minister, Dr. Dollfuß was called up to become chancellor of an Austria on the brink of civil war. That attempted civil war did come in the ‘bloody febuary’ incident where militant members of the SPÖ and communists rose up against the more conservative Austrian government. What followed was a short yet harrowing civil war in the major cities of Austria. After the civil war, a coalition of Austro-Fascists and Heimwehr formed the new Austrian federal state with Engelbert Dollfuß as the leader of the Fatherland Front. Dollfuß was a courageous soldier during the times of the Great War, and continued his fight until his assassination to preserve Austrian values.
