Transcendental Wisdom of Purushottam Month & Unstoppable Lord Jagannath by HG Devaki Nandan Prabhu
🕉️ LECTURE BY DEVAKI NANDAN PRABHU | GITA READING SOCIETY | SINGAPORE 🕉️ During the auspicious Pushpa Abhishek Festival in the sacred and auspicious Purushottam Adhik Month, Devaki Nandan Prabhu delivered a deeply inspiring discourse on the unstoppable nature of Lord Jagannath, the Lord of the Universe. ✨ Prabhu beautifully explained how the English word “Juggernaut” originates from Jagannath, meaning an unstoppable force — symbolizing the Lord’s supreme freedom and power. He reminded devotees that Krishna and devotional service are both unstoppable, and that sincere bhakti continues to grow despite obstacles. 🌸 Through examples from the Bhagavatam — Prahlad Maharaj, Gajendra, and Sudama — Prabhu illustrated how unwavering devotion conquers all challenges. He emphasized that Pushpa Abhishek is not merely an offering of flowers, but a heartfelt act of surrender, returning to Krishna what He has already created. 💐 The lecture also explored the origin and significance of Purushottam Month, once considered inauspicious as Malamas, until Lord Krishna personally accepted it, transforming it into the most sacred month of spiritual renewal. 🙏 Prabhu concluded with a heartfelt reminder: “Never be discouraged by difficulties. Offer your flowers with humility, and remember — Jagannath is unstoppable, and so is sincere devotional service.” 🌼 Highlights: Meaning of Jagannath as “Juggernaut” — the unstoppable Lord Power of devotional service through Prahlad, Gajendra, and Sudama True meaning of Pushpa Abhishek Origin and glory of Purushottam Adhik Month Lessons on humility, equality, and Vaishnava etiquette 📌 Organized by: Ajita the Youth Girls of Gita Reading Society Singapore 📌 Subscribe for more uplifting kirtans, aratis, and festival highlights from our devotional community. 📌 About Gita Reading Society, Singapore The Gita Reading Society (GRS) is a vibrant spiritual community dedicated to the teachings of Bhagavad-gita and the devotional path of **bhakti-yoga**.
