Born in Sumiyoshi, Osaka, five days after the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941. Immediately after graduating from the School of Letters at Kwansei Gakuin University, he studied at the University of Washington in Seattle in July 1964, where he earned his PhD in International Politics and Comparative Education. During his early years abroad, to earn money for his tuition, he worked at a salmon cannery (producing salmon roe) in the skin-chilling Aleutian Islands and at the J. Walter Thompson advertising agency in New York. He has previously served as a visiting professor at Seattle University Graduate School, a professor at Reitaku University, a professor at Nihon University Graduate School, a professor at the Moralogy Institute, and an educational advisor at Jikei Gakuen. His works include "MacArthur: A Nation Destroyed," "Japan: A Weak Nation and a Weak People," "The Japan-US War of Spiritual Power," "The American Empire: Fifty Years in the US," "The Collapse of the Occupation Myth" (co-authored), and "The Geopolitics of Water" (co-authored).
