Dewi Praswida, a master's student in the Environment and Urban Studies Department at Soegijapranata Catholic University, had the opportunity to study interfaith studies and peacebuilding at Pontifical University Saint Thomas Aquino (Angelicum) and the Pontifical Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies, Italy. Dewi is also a member of the interfaith brotherhood and the Gusdurian Semarang network. Echoing Dewi, Deni Iskandar recounted his memories of shaking hands with Pope Francis. At that time, Deni had completed his studies and had the opportunity to meet the Pope. During an audience, Pope Francis approached all the guests in attendance, including Deni, who was wearing a sarong. Deni Iskandar is a student of Abuya Kiai Haji Ahmad Muhtadi, a Muslim spiritual figure in Banten.
