La oración de alabanza puede exorcizar los malos sentimientos de tu corazón

In this chapter, Father Valentín Aparicio speaks to us about what is possibly his favorite passage in the entire Gospel of Matthew. In the scene he describes, “Jesus is responding to the situation of rejection he was experiencing, a situation of forgetting God, of abandonment.” And to that situation, Jesus Christ “responds” with words that begin with “yes”: I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth. “In the worst moment,” Father Valentín emphasizes, “Jesus addresses God the Father with a prayer of praise and thanksgiving.” To overcome the difficulty, Christ responds with a prayer of praise. “The prayer of praise has the power to exorcise all the bad feelings that exist in your heart,” Father Valentín tells us. In the world we live in, we typically respond to rejection with more rejection, turning our backs on it or, at the very least, becoming defensive. Let us try to respond from the midst of our suffering, from our cross, singing a song of thanksgiving to God, "and you will see that suffering dissolves like aspirin in a glass of water." Living in the Holy Spirit leads us to react in such a supernatural way. And this is what we see in Jesus, who, despite our constant forgetfulness and rejection, continues to say to us: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened." He continues to invite us into his heart. Isn't that impressive?
