Juan Carlos González shares a very interesting presentation with us: “Building the Future Through Water Management” Water is undoubtedly the key element for all life. Its guaranteed supply is fundamental for the development of society and for the fight against poverty and disease anywhere in the world. Ensuring the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all people is one of the keys to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Thus, managing water through innovation and imagination is caring for nature. It is improving the quality of life. It is ending droughts. It is conserving biodiversity. It is preventing viruses and diseases. It is fighting climate change. For more than two decades, Juan Carlos González has dedicated himself to the noble profession of desalinating water to make it suitable for human, agricultural, or industrial use. He is the CEO of ELMASA Water Technology, a company founded in Maspalomas 50 years ago, which is an international leader in water management. Ultimately, it will make us reflect on the importance of this precious liquid through human inventiveness, ingenuity, and the talent we all possess. It offers us the magic formula for overcoming our future challenges by taking concrete action in the present.
