How I Painted My Van

https://giannaandrews.com This summer I purchased a 1995 Ford Aerostar van (it came with the name Ronda) for surfing and adventures. But since I wasn't super stoked on the look of the exterior, I decided it was time to paint some art on it! On labor day weekend, Kory and I drove from the Olympic Peninsula to Vashon Island to grab some art supplies and paint the van. I had never used spray paint before, so it was definitely an epic learning experience! Here are the steps we took to paint the van: 1. WASH the van 2. SAND the van with 220 grit 3. RINSE/clean again 4. MASK parts of the van we didn't want painted with blue tape, paper, and plastic 5. PRIME the van with Rustoleum satin spray primer 6. PAINT the van! *We didn't have time to add a clear coat in this video, but if you are painting your car and want to preserve the work, it isn't a bad idea. Thanks to Kory for filming the process and helping prep the van! https://www.korykirby.com
