TODAY IS THE DAY! Today is the Antarctica Marathon 2019, and Halef will be running the full marathon on its hilly course. The Antarctica Marathon and Half Marathon is organized by Marathon Tours & Travel, based in Boston. Fortunately the weather was perfect - unlike our sister ship Akademik Vavilov, whose runners ran the marathon the day before, we had virtually no wind, blue skies, and around 33F (1C) weather. Can't ask for a better day! Halef finished and joined the elite Seven Continents Club, a club dedicated to runners who have run a marathon (or half-marathon) on all seven continents.
