In this emotional and raw documentary, meet Ms. Solat, a strong and determined single mother raising her four children — Ali, Erfan, Abolhassan, and baby Kiana — alone in the heart of the Zagros Mountains of Iran. After the sudden death of her husband, Solat leads her children through wild mountain paths, gathering wild figs and black seeds, swimming in the cold, clear Khorsan River, and resting under the shade of a tall, green plane tree. Later, they discover a giant cave beside the river. Solat lights a fire, makes tea, and catches three large fish which they cook wrapped in foil over the flames. The family eats together in the cave, under the stars — surviving, adapting, and staying hopeful in the wild. The BALROZ family needed rest in the mountains.
