Vapor Trail - THE WIND RISES / ひこうき雲【Studio Ghibli】w/ English Sub

My newest arrangement and international quarantine collaboration with Hanami Miyamoto and Ethan Bill performing Vapor Trail ("Hikoukigumo") originally by Yumi Matsutoya that was adapted for the 2013 animated Studio Ghibli film "The Wind Rises". I provided my own translation of the piece which proved to be quite challenging to convey the summery feeling of the song which is appropriate for the time of year this is being published as well as the transient nature of life that the song touches on. I recommend anyone to see the movie The Wind Rises as it is a touching and deep film. I originally saw the movie when it came out in theaters when I was a resident and when I first heard this song it had an impact on me as it was so fitting for the film. We took some liberties in our arrangement and I also had good friend and composer Leonardo Zorzi help with the orchestral arrangement. We hope you enjoy!
