Moose near Walden (The Moose Capital of Colorado)

In June, 2022, we spent the day near Walden, Colorado to view moose. The drive from Fort Collins to the Moose Visitor Center in State Forest State Park took about 90 minutes. The drive through Poudre Canyon was beautiful, and we saw many white river rafters along the way. Walden is located in north central Colorado, near the Wyoming border. Once we got to the Moose Visitor Center, we saw our first moose (there are around 700 moose in the county). We did some hiking around Ranger Lakes and Beaver Lodge Nature Trail.
