Going into this european sports reaction, the only cyclist I knew was Lance Armstrong (yeah, I know... controversial 😅). But after watching this breakdown? I have a WHOLE new appreciation for this sport! 🚴 WHAT BLEW MY MIND IN THIS REACTION 🚴 ✅ The Tour de France has been around since 1903 — over 120 YEARS! ✅ Riders cover 3,500 km (2,100+ MILES) in just 21 days! ✅ 22 teams with 8 riders each = 176 cyclists racing at once ✅ The famous YELLOW JERSEY (maillot jaune) goes to the overall leader ✅ Green jersey = best sprinter, Polka dot = best climber, White = best young rider ✅ Bikes weigh only 6.8 kg — you can lift them with one PINKY! ✅ Riders eat up to 8,000 CALORIES A DAY and STILL lose weight ✅ The Lanterne Rouge — a competition to come in LAST PLACE?! 😱 ✅ €500,000 prize for the overall winner ✅ Time trial bikes that look like something out of a SPACE MOVIE ✅ The science of drafting and why the peloton exists ✅ Crashes, broken bones, and riders who keep going anyway This american reacts video was such a wild ride (pun intended 😂). I had NO idea cycling was this team-oriented, this strategic, or this brutal. The fact that domestiques sacrifice their entire race just to help their team leader win? The fact that you can BUY the exact same bike as the Tour de France champion? The fact that the final stage finishes on the Champs-Élysées in Paris?
