Johnny Apollo is a 1940 American crime drama with strong film noir elements, directed by Henry Hathaway and released by 20th Century Fox. Along the way, Johnny falls in love with Dwyer's nightclub singer girlfriend, Lucky Dubarry (Dorothy Lamour), creating a dangerous love triangle. As Johnny becomes increasingly entangled in crime, he eventually lands in prison alongside his father. In the film's tense climax, loyalty, sacrifice, and redemption determine whether father and son can rebuild their lives after the consequences of crime catch up with them.
