Automate installations with Installomator | JNUC 2021
Getting third-party software installed and updated on Mac clients is a major task for Jamf Pro administrators. Unfortunately, it is also a tedious and error-prone task. In this session, I will introduce a script called Installomator that automates software download, verification, installation and updates. Installomator is designed to be easy to deploy, manage, configure and extend even if you are not an experienced scripter. We will discuss when you can and should not use Installomator, compare it with other deployment strategies, such as autopkg and the Mac App Store. We will show how to integrate it in Jamf Pro and Patch Management and how you can configure and customize Installomator for custom software and workflows. We will also share how you can contribute back to the open-source Installomator project.
