"Benelli was founded in 1911, an Italian motorcycle manufacturing company. (It once made guns, and this part of the business has now become a separate company. The company is wholly owned by the Qianjiang Group, one of 10 branches of the Qianjiang company. Benelli is currently partially designed in Italy at the Qianjiang Benelli headquarters, while some designs come from other Qianjiang branches such as Keeway. Benelli has been manufactured exclusively in China since 2005 at the Qianjiang factory in Wenling, China. Benelli focuses more on medium-sized motorcycles rather than small motorcycles and mopeds and small motorcycles common in Asia. It also targets a more distinctive European market, using the Italian brand name. Its design is heavily influenced by larger brands such as Ducati. For example, Ducati’s iconic “beak” design was found in Benelli’s TRK 502, and Benelli 502c strongly resembles Ducati Diavel."
