After half a day of trial, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court announced the verdict on the inheritance dispute; requesting the cancellation of the individual decision and the demand for a house to stay between the plaintiff, Ms. Vo Thi Hong Nhung (younger sister of Mr. Vo Van Ngoan - the late Meritorious Artist Vu Linh) and the defendant, Ms. Vo Thi Hong Loan (daughter of the late Meritorious Artist Vu Linh). The panel of judges accepted part of the plaintiff's lawsuit and part of the defendant's counterclaim. The court declared Ms. Vo Thi Hong Loan to be the adopted daughter of the late Meritorious Artist Vu Linh and the first and only heir of the late artist Vu Linh. The panel of judges determined that the inheritance assets include: House and land at 05 Doan Thi Diem; 3,007 m2 of land in Thu Duc, and a car. Ms. Loan is obliged to repay Ms. Nhung's contributions and assets, which are determined to be 15% of the total value of the estate at the time of execution.
