The tunnel is 300 meters long and runs through the mountain; inside, they show a film about the history of the railway and the station. We took very comprehensive and informative guided tours in both, where we were able to ask questions and learn about the arrival, adaptation, and life of the first Welsh settlers in the province of Chubut. 🍰🍵 The Welsh Tea Tradition: A Unique Afternoon Tea in Patagonia The highlight came with Welsh tea at the "Zhi Wen" teahouse. Our top recommendation: come hungry! For 550 pesos (USD 14) per person, we received a stack of delicacies: bread rolls, sandwiches, scones with butter and homemade jam (fig and strawberry), tarts, Welsh black cakes, cream sponges, and the classic Welsh apple pie. All accompanied by a delicious and hearty black tea. We especially highlighted the Welsh cake (made with brown sugar and spices), the vanilla sponge cake with cream, and the apple pie with red jelly and cream. 🏠🇬🇧 Gaiman's First House: Heritage and Historic Architecture Now that we were satisfied, we continued with a guided tour of Gaiman's First House, built in 1874 by David Roberts and his wife.
