Microtonal Shoegaze | 10 Hz Tuning

10 Hz tuning is a microtonal tuning with each note being 10 Hz from each other: 440 Hz, 450 Hz, 460 Hz, 470 Hz, etc. 10 Hz is not a practical tuning, nor is it easily achievable on guitar without ripping out frets and tuning strings to uncommon intervals. What makes 10 Hz tuning beautiful is that all intervals will be harmonically sound and vibrate in an ideal ratio. What is Shoegaze? Good question. I’d suggest asking my friends at DKFM for a complete and thorough understanding of the shoegaze experience.
