I take my 2019 Lance 1062 truck camper off-road through miles of rugged wilderness, dense pine forests, and sharp rock trails in search of the perfect boondocking spot. As daylight starts to fade, finding camp becomes a real challenge — trees scrape the camper, rocks threaten the tires, and every turn feels like it could be the last. But when I finally find the ultimate cliff-edge campsite, it’s all worth it. The views are unreal — miles of untouched Arizona wilderness stretching out below. After setting up camp, I cook up some incredible bison ribeye steaks over an open campfire, share a few peaceful moments with my dogs, and take in the most breathtaking sunset I’ve ever seen from my camper.
