Ethiopian Scales Lesson- Part 1
Free PDF of notation/tablature click here-https://www.jeffdingler.com/contact Part 1 of a three part educational series on Ethiopian scales. In the three years I lived there, I really fell in love with the music of Ethiopia. This is my way of sharing some of it to those who might be unfamiliar with music from there. Part 1 will focus on learning the notes of some of the most commonly used Ethiopian scales. Part 2 will be all about phrasing and ornaments, and Part 3 will focus on how to apply the scales in a jazz context with chord/scale relationships. The track you hear throughout in the background is "Anchim Ende Lela" by a group called The Addis Acoustic Project. • Addis Acoustic Project - Anchim Ende Lela
