I Rode the Melbourne F1 Track… on a Lime Bike

With the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix taking place this weekend in Melbourne, I decided to try something a little different… Most people know the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit as one of the most famous tracks on the Formula 1 calendar. Every year the world’s best drivers race around this circuit at speeds of over 300 km/h. But outside of race weekend, the Melbourne F1 track is actually just normal public roads around Albert Park Lake. Which gave me an idea… What would it be like to ride the entire Melbourne Formula 1 circuit on a Lime bike? So that’s exactly what I did. In this video I hire a Lime bike in Melbourne and set off to ride around the full Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit to see what the track feels like without the crowds, without the barriers, and definitely without a Formula 1 car. Of course, things didn’t quite go to plan. While adjusting the camera mid-ride I completely lost concentration and managed to crash the bike — nothing serious, just a few scrapes, but it definitely added some unexpected drama to the experience. Along the way we take a look at: • What it’s like riding the Melbourne F1 circuit • The famous Albert Park Grand Prix track layout • How the circuit feels when you’re travelling a little slower than an F1 car • And the moment where it all goes wrong… If you’re visiting Melbourne during the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix weekend, Albert Park is one of the most incredible places to experience the sport — but very few people realise that for most of the year you can actually walk, run or cycle parts of the track yourself. Just maybe keep your eyes on the road… 📍 Location: Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit Aughtie Drive Albert Park VIC 3206 Melbourne, Australia #Formula1 #F1 #MelbourneGP #AustralianGP #AlbertPark #Melbourne #LimeBike #F1Circuit #TravelVlog #JoeBloggsTravel
