Safari to Ship — I Boarded the Cruise on 3 Hours of Sleep and I Have Zero Regrets | Day 75

Three hours of sleep, a four-hour drive back from the African bush, a forgotten external hard drive, and somehow I made it onto a Princess Cruise ship departing Cape Town. Starting over at 50 is not for the faint of heart. Went to sleep at 3 AM. Alarm at 5:55. Four-hour drive from Albertinia back to Cape Town. Boarded the ship. Realized I left my external hard drive at home. Went to the mall at Victoria Wharf to buy one. Found the buffet. Found the casino. Toured the thermal spa suite. Located the gym and made a promise to myself. And discovered that I am very possibly one of the youngest people on this ship — which honestly just means I'm surrounded by wisdom and good stories. In this video: Safari to ship in one wild day — how it all went down The external hard drive I definitely did not forget (I absolutely forgot it) First impressions of Princess Cruises — the Medallion Pass, the buffet, the vibe Why this is not the turn-up ship (and why I'm here for it anyway) The couple across the hall who've already been traveling for three weeks from Perth to Dover Touring the thermal spa suite and the gym — and the promise I made to myself Finding out Evan has pneumonia mid-boarding (he's okay — he listened to his body) Showing up even when showing up looks different This is The Runaway Reset. Figuring it out in real time. Running on three hours. Eating pot roast on a cruise ship in Cape Town. #princesscruise #capetown #solotravel
