→ This is the street of shady business, the face of the city of the damned and corruption. The city is beginning to look different, everything is for sale in a country that is frozen in time, where men work long hours for a miserable salary, women possess great natural beauty and where every Cuban has a story to tell. In this video we are going to take a tour of one of the main streets of Havana, we are going from Carlos III and Reina to the Parque de la Fraternidad, passing by several shops and central places. Along the way you are going to see a phenomenon never seen before: the whole street is full of nomadic vendors selling products collected from the trash and there is a whole system behind this. There are two famous restaurants in Centro Habana where many go at special times. You will be shocked by the great flea market in El Curita Park! There are things that do not appear in the documentaries and promotional videos of Cuba, a real life that every Cuban has had to live and only we know about it. The shortcomings corrode our society at unsuspected levels, leading to corruption, crime, envy and other evils that have affected us for a long time. We want our children to be better than us; however, many times our families end up broken as a result of emigration to the USA and other countries. Our children risk their lives to have a better future. The rationing of products available for sale has made it more difficult to live in Cuba and just to be able to afford food in the markets and stores. Havana feels it as it is dependent on tourism but now there is no tourism and almost no trips to Cuba. The other provinces feel it even more. The socioeconomic class difference is accentuated and those who do not receive remittances from abroad have a harder time making ends meet.
