Why We Train - California Sea Lions

At Mystic Aquarium, training our California sea lions is about so much more than teaching fun behaviors, it’s an essential part of their care! Through positive reinforcement, our animal care team trains the sea lions that call Mystic Aquarium home to participate in their own health care, from simple check-ups to complex medical procedures.
