Political and strategic analyst Mubarak Al-Ati stated that the escalation in Yemen is part of an Iranian attempt to draw Saudi Arabia into a confrontation and expand the scope of the regional conflict. He believes that Riyadh has succeeded, through its policy of restraint and Arab and Islamic coordination, in limiting the repercussions of the crisis.
