This workshop is ideal for music enthusiasts of all ages who enjoy traditional folk music and Oberkrainer music. Let Reini's turbo-charged energy inspire you and take your accordion playing to the next level with this workshop. You've probably experienced playing music with several accordion friends before, with each player taking turns playing the melody of different songs. While this is certainly possible, it can sometimes lead to a bit of confusion because each musician plays the pieces slightly differently. This is precisely where Oberkrainer accompaniment comes in – a simple yet highly effective way to achieve genuine interplay and greater enjoyment in making music together. Or perhaps someone wants to sing a song and needs some musical support from an accordion. You know the vocal melody, but you can't play it on the accordion because you don't have sheet music. Here, you can easily and effectively enhance the singer or choir by using the accordion accompaniment over the chords, without having to play the melody itself. There are many other simple ways to use this accordion accompaniment. Originally, the Oberkrainer accordion accompaniment was developed for a quintet consisting of accordion, guitar, bass, trumpet, and clarinet. Since the main melody was often played/sung by the wind instruments (trumpet and clarinet) or by the vocals, the accordion was relatively free for an additional function that filled out the rhythm – the accordion accompaniment. Today, this technique has proven itself in modern music and is even applicable to oldies, German pop, and party music, enjoying ever-increasing popularity. All these topics, and especially the accordion accompaniment technique, will be taught in this workshop. So register now for the accordion accompaniment workshop and experience pure musical enjoyment with Turboreini. Prerequisites: If you can play three chords on your accordion or Styrian harmonica, such as C, G, and F, you're ready to go. No prior knowledge of music notation is required.
