The Reality of Living in a Mountain Town!

Today started with one simple errand in Eagle Nest, New Mexico: picking up 500 needles for the museum’s 1925 Victrola. But like a lot of days in a small mountain town, one small task turned into a much bigger story. I take you along for a quiet Saturday morning in Eagle Nest, from walking Dottie, checking the lake, stopping by the post office, visiting the Gateway Museum, and heading out with Jack to look for possible museum treasures at the local resale shop. Along the way, I talk about something I’ve learned living around small towns: optics matter. It’s not enough to do the right thing. In a small community, it also matters how your actions are seen and understood by the people around you. Jack also shares why Eagle Nest is such a special place — a small village surrounded by mountains, fishing, skiing, history, art, and people who choose this life because they truly love it. Thanks for joining me for another ordinary-but-not-ordinary day in Eagle Nest. #EagleNestNewMexico #RVLife #SmallTownLife #NewMexico #TravelsWithDottie
