For instance, in Ephesians 5:25-33, Paul compares marriage to the relationship between Christ and the Church, emphasizing sacrificial love and mutual respect. Weddings also carry eschatological significance, symbolized by the "Marriage Supper of the Lamb" in Revelation 19:7-9, where Christ, the Bridegroom, is united with His Church, the Bride. This union represents the ultimate fulfillment of God's redemptive plan. Thus, weddings in the Bible are not just social events but profound expressions of divine love, covenant, and eternal union, highlighting their importance both in earthly life and in the heavenly realm.
