Hey hey!Yahho~ It’s Mei here〜٩( 'ω' )و I’ve decided to keep up my morning rides here in Japan too, and started inviting friends for some casual weekday spins. Meeting up in Shibuya in the morning… surprisingly works! lol This all started with what I experienced in Australia, Singapore, and Indonesia — watching people ride with Rapha, MAAP, Pedla, local groups, or just friends. So many cyclists were out riding before work, and I loved that vibe. In Japan, “morning rides” tend to feel like training sessions... But I want to enjoy them more as casual social time — like a light, fun “morning activity.” Not sure if this will ever become a real cycling culture here, but… I’ve heard in places like Korea and Malaysia, it’s actually more common to ride at night. So I guess it all depends on each country's lifestyle and working hours — but I hope more chances to ride will naturally grow over time ☺️ Sure, there are health benefits and all that... But honestly, I just love talking with cyclists. That’s all I really want — more of that kind of space. lol It’s getting colder soon, but if you’re down to ride, let’s go together!
