Have you ever wondered what paradise would be like? A place that has snowy peaks around it from where streams with gurgling water, flowers and grass will spring everywhere and in the middle a small pond. Dragon lakes exist on Tymfi, Smolikas and Grammos only. They are so named because the alpine newt that looks like a tiny dragon lives in them. In Verliga, on the other hand, live no newts, also the lake that is formed is seasonal and lasts only during the period of massive snow melting. In the remaining months the lake disappears and there are only few streams which end at the lowest point where their water is absorbed.
