Tempers Flare Installing a Septic Tank on the Hottest Day of the Year

30°C heat, no water and an 8,000 litre underground tank to install… what could possibly go wrong? Today we're installing a large underground tank while battling extreme temperatures, collapsing ground and one major problem – we completely ran out of water halfway through the job. Thankfully having our own pan mixer meant we could keep producing concrete exactly when we needed it, but this was one of those days where everything seemed to fight against us. Watch the full install from start to finish as we: ✅ Excavate and prepare the tank base ✅ Position and level the tank ✅ Backfill with concrete ✅ Manage collapsing ground ✅ Pump in water to stop the tank floating ✅ Build pipe connections ✅ Work through a brutal 30°C heatwave This is real UK groundwork and restoration work – no shortcuts, no fancy edits, just genuine day-to-day site work.
