Cuidados del Cotyledon pendens - Suculenta Cadena de Lagrimas

Cotyledon pendens is a succulent native to the Eastern Cape province of South Africa, typically growing on cliffs between 300 and 400 meters in altitude. It was discovered in 2001 by South African botanist Ernst Jacobus van Jaarsveld, who found the plants while studying cliff-dwelling succulents. He found them anchored in crevices, their stems forming sturdy, hanging mats. This species was described in 2003 by Ernst van Jaarsveld of Kirstenbosch Botanic Garden, where he is curator and horticulturist. The first plants were collected for cultivation in Kirstenbosch. They grew in inaccessible locations, so stones had to be thrown at them to break the stems.
