When it comes to watch collecting, my first goal is to find the perfect amount in my so-called "exit" collection lineup, using my previous 3 grail watches as a starting point. For the uninitiated, they are the Rolex Submariner "Unicorn" transitional 14060, the Breguet Tradition 7057 and the Hanhart 417 ES Red Lion Mark II (a continuation of the previous Red Lion MK 1). Should I add a few more to make it a fantastic five, or another 4 to equal the number of days in the week? Or maybe twice that to have multiple options per day? I guess I will figure that out as I begin this final act of my collecting story. In terms of actual watches I hope to add and experience, I am still on the hunt for the perfect 36mm Day-Date from either Tudor or Rolex, along with the ultimate Breitling Navitimer IMO, narrowing down the options as I continue the search for the best worldtimer watch, and starting with the Bulgari Octo Roma Worldtimer I borrowed from a friend. I then examine why my final Panerai Luminor GMT Ceramica will be purchased in Italy, along with what is so special about this new release, and finally, why the Patek Ellipse is still calling me, despite owning the Universal Geneve White Shadow by Gerald Genta that inspired them.
