Shane Embury (SHANE EMBURY, mind) joins me this week to talk his official solo debut Bridge to Resolution, the audiobook release of his autobiography Life...? and Napalm Death and why he's at a stage in his career and life where this is the kind of work he's compelled to make. We also discuss Shane's relationships with a number of scene legends including False Face alumnus Nick Barker and the late Tomas Lindberg of At the Gates, both members of Lock-Up whose catalogue has recently been reissued. I've read AND listened to Shane's book and been a fan for decades so I had an idea of what I was in for but I wasn't prepared for the frankness or light touch with which he addresses his physical and mental health and his ongoing journey towards understanding himself - who he is and why. Very interesting dude. Really abrupt ending on this one too, folks, but when nature calls, even the gods of grind must answer!
