Idineklara ni Senator-judge Robinhood Padilla na komunista ito noong nagtanong ito kay NBI BARMM regional director Jeremy Lotoc sa ikalimang araw ng impeachment trial ni Vice President Sara Duterte ngayong Martes, July 14, 2026. "Hindi po ba dapat isipin natin 'yung Romanov eh tungkol sa threat na pumapasok sa mga pamilya na namumuno dito sa ating bayan na lumalaban sa komunista. Komunista po ako ah. Gusto ko lamang pong alaminin ninyo," salaysay nito.
