A Day in My Life: As a Mandarin Student in China

This is a day in my life while I'm taking Mandarin lessons in the beautiful city of Yangshou in Guangxi Province. Although I've lived in China for a few years, my Chinese level is pretty LOW, I'm a real beginner---and that's because I've never had formal lessons before. So, here I am, truly challenging myself by taking a week of intense Mandarin lessons. Before arriving in Yangshuo, I took online Mandarin lessons with Omeida Language Academy. We mainly practiced pronunciation and tones, then when I arrives a few weeks later we got straight to 2 hour-long classes. The class size is quite small, and it's just me and my partner. We learn a lot of new words and grammar structures in each class and I'm so happy that I pushed myself to take these classes. I hope you enjoy watching my Chinese language journey and maybe you will get inspired to start learning too!
