What started its life as a naturally aspirated, unkillable 1.9 SDI is now a turbocharged beast (S-TDI ) pushing around 110 HP. The best part? The entire turbo conversion cost me only about 550 PLN (around €130), and it was 100% DIY – built completely by myself in the garage! The setup is simple, raw, and incredibly efficient: Engine: 1.9 SDI / s-TDI Conversion Turbocharger: GT1544s Injectors: 0.216mm Intercooler: None (pure raw boost directly to the intake!) Total Build Cost: ~550 PLN (€130) – 100% Custom DIY Power output: Estimated ~110 HP Fuel economy: Around 5L/100km (Daily driven efficiency meets boost!) It’s incredibly responsive, delivers great torque, and surprises everyone on the road by moving way better than any factory SDI ever should.
