Can't Stay Afloat
The plaintiff says he’s been friends with the defendant for a long time and loaned him money during a hard time to keep him afloat. Unfortunately, it’s been over six months, and the plaintiff still has not been paid back, so he’s suing. The defendant says he did borrow money from the plaintiff, but also says the plaintiff owed him money first, so he doesn’t owe anything. He is countersuing for rent money the plaintiff owes him.
