The most important piano in rock history
The C Bechstein grand piano that lived at Trident Studios in London from 1968 is potentially the most noteworthy single instrument of the 20th century. When I first found out about this piano's role in so many of the 1970s most iconic recordings I couldn't believe that I hadn't already heard about it! In this video I do my best to piece together the limited amount of reliable information there is about this piano so I can document the legacy of the Trident Piano! ❗️CORRECTION: As a couple people have noted in the comments, I got the date wrong for Elton John's "Madman Across The Water" album. It was released in 1971, not 1972. Sorry for any confusion. After he told me about it I spent the rest of the day researching it and, by the end of the day, I had a script! SUPPORT ME ON PATREON: / davidbennettpiano
