Música y Antártica: El viaje continúa | Rafael Cheuquelaf | TEDxPuntaArenas

Antarctica is a source of inspiration; this is the story of a group of musicians who wanted to reach this remote territory and how it continues to inspire them to this day. A journalist and musician from the Magallanes region, born in Punta Arenas. He studied journalism at the Austral University of Chile and has worked in both media outlets and educational institutions in his region, such as INACAP, The British School, and the University of Magallanes. Simultaneously, he has pursued a musical career for 25 years, alongside Héctor Aguilar, in the electronic music duo LLUVIA ÁCIDA, which has developed works related to the history and landscapes of Patagonia. The Antarctic theme has been central to his work, producing two albums and four documentaries with his band—in partnership with the Chilean Antarctic Institute—as well as two concerts at the Eduardo Frei Montalva Base and a national tour with a recital dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Pilot Pardo's feat.
